Private workspaces, real roles
Each workspace keeps its documents, members and agents separate. Members are owners, editors or viewers; the last owner is protected.

Stash-MCP is a hosted document store you manage in the browser while AI agents read and edit the same content over the Model Context Protocol. Private workspaces, revision-checked saves, full history.
Open-source and self-hostable too.

Documentation, notes and specs live in one place. Browse and edit in the browser, or connect an agent that reads and updates the same documents.
Saves are revision-checked, so nothing is overwritten silently. Compare any version, restore an earlier one, and export your whole workspace.
A document store designed so people and agents can work on the same content without stepping on each other.
Each workspace keeps its documents, members and agents separate. Members are owners, editors or viewers; the last owner is protected.
Browser login uses OpenID Connect with a secure session. No shared passwords, no tokens in URLs.
Agents use workspace-scoped grants — a secret token or a managed OAuth client — with an expiry and a separate allow-changes switch.
Every write states the revision it started from. A stale revision is rejected with a conflict instead of overwriting someone else's work.
Revisions keep author and timestamp. View any version, compare it to the current one as a diff, and restore in a click.
A retried agent write with the same key and content is applied once, so a flaky network never creates duplicate changes.
Turn on semantic ranking to search by meaning. Results show the matching passage, who last changed it and when.
Start a Git history for a workspace, download the bundle, and bring documents in or out with tar import and export.
Documents render with Markdown, a table of contents, highlighted code and copy/download actions — untrusted HTML stays inert.
Each workspace exposes a Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint. Point your client at it and authenticate with a grant from the workspace access panel.

Mutations require expected_revision. A stale one returns
revision_conflict and nothing changes.
Claude Code is verified on Linux against the hosted service. Support for more MCP clients is in progress.
Stash-MCP is also open source. Self-host the file-backed edition and use the same browser-plus-MCP workflow on your own machine.
